This two-part project consists of a 16, 850 SF women’s center & well-baby nursery and an 800 SF level II neonatal intermediate care unit. The overall design focus was on creating a tranquil and spa-like space by bringing the exterior in through greenery, artwork, and wooden design features. The NICU design plays off the Women’s Center spa-like environment, focusing on an ocean-like feel. Each LDRP room is furnished with a large artwork headwall of greenery while the NICU headwall uses ocean imagery to create a warm and inviting space. The women’s center & well-baby nursery consists of ten labor delivery recovery and postpartum (LDRP) rooms, a c-section suite, two triage rooms, lactation support spaces, and a well-baby holding nursery for infants. CleanSuite operating room system. The CleanSuite is a modular, fully integrated ceiling system and is the first system of its kind to be installed in Georgia. The Level II NICU consists of four-level II rooms and one exam room. Each room is furnished with Amcio headwall systems that allow each room to care for two babies at a time, in the case of twins.
