This cold storage food storage facility is located just off of the docks in Baltimore, MD. The facility includes freezer storage, cold dock, blast chillers, a two-story office, and an engine room that is sized for future expansion. Through various iterations, the expansion allowed for the flexibility to be a mirror of the original facility, customized layout, or even an ASRS – rack supported facility. The expansion was designed and built with a different layout to enlarge the storage space without additional specialty spaces like blast freezers. The original battery charging room was relocated to the expansion to allow for connectivity between the original cold dock and expansion cold dock. Other spaces including battery charging, maintenance shop, USDA, will-call office with finger, dock for local truck pick-up and deliveries.

The exterior of this building is a combination of Thermomass panels, concrete tilt-up panels, and insulated metal panels. The exterior design color scheme is to incorporate MTC colors and branding. Between the construction of the original building and the expansion, the original building received solar panels over the entire roof.
